Last night's Billboard Music Awards were about two things: the performances and the fashion. Though there were a few hits and misses on both fronts, one star who nailed both? Madonna.
During her tribute to Prince, in which she sang "Nothing Compares 2 U" and "Purple Rain," the latter of which included a surprise appearance by Stevie Wonder, Madonna wore a purple (of course) lurex and silk jacquard iridescent lilac paisley-printed suit, along with a white Chantilly lace blouse with ruffle sleeves. The look was custom-created by fashion's resident ruffle aficionado, Alessandro Michele of Gucci.
