England's annual Chelsea Flower Show begins today, which means Kate Middleton, Prince William, Queen Elizabeth, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, and more royals have been released from their castle prisons to admire some of the UK's fanciest plants. The dress code for the occasion? Outfits that match the greenery — or in Kate's case, the tractors.
As it turns out, Kate's recycled Catherine Walker belted coat happened to be the exact same shade of kelly green as a John Deere Gator tractor next to which she was photographed. It also appears that she had a conversation with the driver of said Gator, which probably went something like this:
Gator Tractor Driver: "Kate, over here!"
Kate: "Oh, hello!"
Gator Tractor Driver: "Phew, finally! I've been driving after you around all afternoon! I noticed your coat matches my Gator tractor, and I was hoping I could engage you in a long enough conversation so that someone takes a photograph of us together. You see, my tractor store has been struggling lately, and I think a paparazzi photo of you standing near my tractor logo would be great exposure for me and my tractors."
Kate: "I have some important flowers I need to go look at. Goodbye."
Yes, that's definitely the conversation that happened. Regardless, here's the full look:
