There have been astrological sign perfumes, unisex Ariana Grande perfumes, and perfumes that claim to smell like specific street corners in New York City. But there's never been a perfume that captures the essence of singer FKA twigs. Until now.
According to WWD, the singing, dancing enigma is set to launch her very first fragrance in partnership with House of Matriarch at some point later this year. After developing a custom perfume for her two years ago, founder Christi Meshell is now working with Twigs on an upcoming scent.
Unlike many other celebrity perfumes, however, this one won't be available at your local Rite-Aid. "She's very antiestablishment like I am," Meshell tells WWD. "She doesn't want to sell it at any retailer. Overnight, she's going to add it to her website. Her fans are dying for anything she drops."
As for the actual scent, the pair haven't decided whether it will be a version of her custom fragrance or an entirely new one, but here's a thought: twigs! I'll accept payment for this idea in the form of concert tickets, thank you.
