Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
Leave it to Swedish retailer & Other Stories to convince us we need yet another pair of sneakers. The brand has a sixth sense when it comes to footwear, always seeming to know exactly what we want to put on our feet before we do. Case in point: We can't wait to slip into the just-launched collab with Vans, a follow-up to last year's dalmation-inspired polka dot sneakers.
The mini capsule collection includes three styles that go a step up from the classic Vans we already have in our closets: There are two pairs in goes-with-everything beige canvas linen — a slip-on as well as an "Old Skool" lace-up — plus printed leather slip-ons in a blue, turquoise, peach, white, and red painterly pattern. All three pairs retail for $100, which is a jump from 2015's $80 price point (and a hint as to their popularity). Released in Europe last week, the collab is available in the U.S. starting today.
