Calvin Klein is churning out new advertisements at a rapid pace these days. It's hard to tell what's a denim campaign, an underwear ad, or fragrance marketing — evidence of the brand's mission to unify its creative vision across all categories.
But just when the parade of photographs starring the young, relatively famous, and beautiful was becoming a blur, Calvin Klein has turned out a new series of images shot by Harley Weir that is... arresting. Which is to say, so very sexual.
Here's a shot of model and Mad Max: Fury Road actress Abbey Lee Kershaw sticking her hands down her underpants, à la Anna Ewers in those unforgettable Alexander Wang denim ads.
Here's a butt crack.
Here is Kendall Jenner clutching half a grapefruit, which Thinx period underwear taught us is a metaphor for the human vagina.
But also, here's Saskia de Brauw holding a lamb in her arms, because it's important to improve your audience's emotional flexibility by forcing them to look at baby animals in the same space as a vagina grapefruit.
Isn't mental dissonance a treat?
Update: According to a rep for Calvin Klein, the photo series is not titled "Erotica," as was previously reported. It is untitled.
