Actor David Duchovny was in Scotland last week to perform (?) with his band (??) to promote their latest album (????), Hell or Highwater. In honor of the occasion, he wore a kilt.
Here it is:
And here is that same kilt in motion:

And here are a few questions I have about this kilt: First, do people still wear kilts in Scotland? Do Scottish people see American actors-slash-aspiring rock stars wearing kilts as pandering? Second, if you're that sweaty, why add a leather jacket?
Third, as a seasoned skirt-wearer, are you sure the pocket is supposed to be in the front? Answer: likely not. A quick Google search for "man kilts" will reveal the website for Utilikilts, the cool-guy brand for dudes looking for kilts, and it appears that Duchovny is modeling a $260 style entitled The Workman's Kilt. You'll notice, however, that the pocket is most definitely designed to be positioned on the side of the wearer, not the front:
A possible answer, however, is simply that David Duchovny is taking his role as a rock star very seriously, and refuses to wear his kilt as it was intended. In which case, keep on rockin', David Duchovny.
