Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Some keys to a successful turn on the Tony Awards red carpet: Talk less, smile more, and carry this truly perfect Hamilton clutch. Designed by Edie Parker, the bag has "A. Burr" embossed on one side and "A. Ham" on the other — and both Bee Schaffer (daughter of Vogue editor-in-chief Anna Wintour) and Vanessa Nadal (wife of A. Ham himself, Lin-Manuel Miranda), carried it down the incredibly floral red carpet.
