Between bestowing Hamilton and Co. with various honors, Tony Awards host James Corden made some crucial costume changes tonight. He started out slow with a burgundy Burberry suit. (The joke here — if I may — is to repeat "burgundy Burberry" until it's hilarious.) He then moved on to this:

The objectively fun suit is far outside the comedian's usual fashion wheelhouse, but it did not appear to be a joke. This didn't, however, stop Twitter from filling in the blanks — especially when Keri Russell stepped out on stage wearing what appeared to be the exact same suit in dress form.

James finished up fittingly in the best, sparkliest dinner jacket he could get his hands on. Such excellence in suiting shall be the "Carpool Karaoke" standard, henceforth.
