Giovanna Battaglia’s Wedding Is the Vogue-est Wedding You’ll Ever See

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Giovanna Battaglia — heiress, Vogue something-or-other, and street style woman-about-town — got married this weekend in Capri. Mazel! This is great for her and her now-husband, Swedish realtor magnate Oscar Englebert, but the wedding also managed to provide us plebeians with some very specific unattainable goals. Double mazel!

For example, there was the fashion, which included the following outfits over the many days of festivities — shown below in no specific order, except for maybe fabulousness. First up, a Tanya Taylor two-piece:

This Alaïa beauty, which you can see in motion here:

A princess gown that swallowed the other princess gowns to become the biggest princess gown (she lost the skirt after the ceremony and wore the molted version of the look):

And this Giambattista Valli dress with Manolo Blahnik thigh-high boots for a casual reception look. The extravagant outfit is best enjoyed in motion, like right before her bouquet toss:

Plus, there were other enjoyable aspect of the nuptials! Like bridesmaids who rented Gio’s dress on AirBnB:
