Though we currently live in a world in which Kendall Jenner has never covered Vogue (okay, there was that "special issue" for subscribers back in April, but it was sponsored entirely by the beauty brand for which Jenner is a spokesperson), that world may not exist for long. According to Us Weekly, Kendall is set to cover not just any issue of Vogue, but the most important issue of Vogue.
After Kendall debuted a new, shoulder-length haircut on Snapchat on Friday, the magazine reported that the chop was actually for the sake of one Anna Wintour:
A source on the set of Jenner's shoot tells Us Weekly that the top makeup artists, hairstylists and photographers were brought in and told that they were styling the model for the cover of the fashion bible's famed September issue.
Here’s the cut:
Although Vogue told Us Weekly that "We never comment on rumors of future editorial," it wouldn't be the first time a celebrity has drastically changed her hair to please the magazine. Taylor Swift’s platinum blonde bob may have been a wig at the time her unrecognizable Vogue cover was shot, but she later dyed her hair the exact same shade.
Another Kardasho-Jenner with a Vogue cover, another day. Just close your eyes and let it wash over you.
