You can now add Naomi Campbell to the growing list of celebrities screwing up their sponsored posts on Instagram. The supermodel fell prey to the evils of copy and paste while promoting a pair of sneakers to her 2.9 million followers yesterday, Mashable reports.
The post in question shows Campbell serving face (as usual) and posing with a pair of Adidas sneakers along with a contrived message that probably came straight from her email inbox: "Naomi, So nice to see you in good spirits!!! Could you put something like: Thanks to my friend @gary.aspden and all at adidas - loving these adidas 350 SPZL from the adidas Spezial range. ✊ @adidasoriginals."
Her lazy mistake, which she has since revised, reveals just how easy it is for celebs to make bank off of something as simple as an Instagram post. Campbell isn’t the first to suffer an epic sponsorship fail on the social media platform. The Kardashian reality star Scott Disick made the same copy-and-paste mistake just last month while promoting a protein shake.
Campbell has yet to address her mistake directly, but we doubt she cares or even has to. Until now, no one even knew what an Adidas 350 SPZL was. Well played, Naomi. Well played.
