Drybar's ambitious expansion plans are in full swing, and now the blowout bar brand is about to land in Sin City. Its new Las Vegas location opens on Friday, July 1st, and all signs point to this being bachelorette party central.
First off, it's almost twice as big as most Drybar locations at 2,797 square feet with 20 chairs. This outpost will stay open until midnight on weekends and 11 pm on weeknights. There's going to be a full-time on-location DJ, a full-time party planner, and a gif-capable photo booth.
Most importantly, the Vegas Drybar will be home to the brand's very first full cocktail bar (!). Many of the cocktails are named after Drybar blowouts, which are in turn named after drinks (Mai Tai, Cosmo, etc), so it all comes full circle.
No Vegas plans in your future? Here are two recipes from Drybar's new cocktail menu to make at home (whipping these up might actually be easier than recreating Drybar's blowouts).
Drybar Straight-Up
1-½ oz Casamigos Blanco
½ oz fresh orange juice
½ oz ruby red grapefruit juice
¼ oz honey syrup
1 oz Pellegrino Grapefruit Soda
1 pinch chipotle smoked salt
Combine all ingredients except soda and shake with ice. Add soda to mixture and strain into a chilled cocktail glass rimmed with chipotle smoked salt. Garnish with a grapefruit slice.
Drybar Manhattan
2 oz. Martelletti Sweet Vermouth
1oz. Bulleit Rye
1 dash Australian bitters
1 dash orange bitters
Combine all ingredients with ice and stir. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with an orange peel and cherry.
