Some designers have resort collections. Reese Witherspoon has brunch collections. The movie star's year-old lifestyle brand Draper James launches its first brunch-themed line today, featuring plates and serving pieces plus outfits to match your table settings. Prices for the home goods range from $28 to $68, while the corresponding clothing collection ranges from $48 to $395.
Witherspoon isn't actually the first one to make brunch-themed clothing. But as you'd imagine, the Draper James take is very Southern prep, and the words "y'all" and "grits" are sprinkled about liberally. Also, in Reese's world, brunch is a place for gingham and tea and overall adorableness.
It doesn't appear to be about waking up at 11am, throwing on sweatpants, and eating pancakes while spilling tomato juice everywhere. But hey, everyone's definition of "brunch" is different.
Check out the collection below instead and envision a brunch experience in which your coffee mug accents your dress.
