The 2016 Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) Awards are here! It's the Oscars of fashion — that is, if the Oscars nominated and recognized the same movies and directors every single year. (There's a zinger you can take to the bank, Joel McHale!)
Still, like the ESPYs for sports or the White House Correspondents' dinner for politics, the CFDA Awards provide an opportunity for fashion-industry professionals to get together and be roasted — in this case, by The Soup's McHale, a curious choice of host if ever there was one. Also, thanks to the focus on younger and up-and-coming designers, the CFDA Awards red carpet tends to be way more interesting than what you'd see at, say, the Oscars. Think of it as a less-fancy, more business-focused Met Gala!
Take a look at all the attendees above, including Karlie Kloss, Alexa Chung, Ashley Graham, Tilda Swinton, and many more.
