Drake posted a photo of himself today in a rosy jersey with tinted sunglasses to match (the color is what we'll affectionally call "Pitbull Pink," henceforth). It appears that the rapper — a known Nike endorser and collaborator — has photoshopped the Adidas logo off of the official Juventus replica jersey. The brand's insignia is usually located over the left pec.
The move is a juicy one, certainly, and we'll allow Nike and/or Adidas' most dedicated fans to decide what it means. Even more pertinent to our purposes, however, is that Drake debuted a slimmer, leaner physique in said photo. This is fine! Totally fine! But it's with great solemnity that we pour one out for our favorite beefdrake — specifically, the bulkier, more "ripped" Drake seen in this Calvin Klein Instagram from nearly a year ago:
Eulogies are best kept short, and so please bow your head for a moment: We thank you, beefdrake, for all the joy and nourishment you gave our souls. You were a good beefdrake, and a hearty one. May you live long in our daydreams of boyfriends who are equally proficient in meeting the parents and being arm candy — nay, arm meat. We promise to love the new, lean Drake — who is just like the old Drake, but with ~30% less beef — as we loved you.
