Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Justin Bieber's Purpose came out more than six months ago, but today, the singer revealed the official video for "Company," which is definitely the second- or maybe third-best song on the album. Another thing we haven't realized until now: "Company" is actually a love letter to hats.

Lyrics like "Can we, we keep, keep each other company?" and "You ain't gotta be my lover for you to call me baby" make much more sense when heard in the context of this video — they're definitely, 100% directed towards Bieber's astonishingly vast collection of hats.

How many hats? By the video's 30-second mark, we've already been treated to the sight of Bieber wearing no less than eight different hats, plus one bandana. Our total count reveals that he dons 14 distinct hats over the course of the cllip, from beanies to wide-brim fedoras to trucker hats — plus four bandanas, and finally, one ski helmet for good measure.

Count for yourself.

Yes, this song is definitely about Bieber's love of hats.
