Kris Jenner, mother of five dragons, also gets to call herself grandmother. There's North and Saint West, of course, and also Mason and Reign Disick. But according to a highly scientific analysis of the family, Penelope Disick is the absolute best of all the Kardasho-Jenner-Disick grandchildren.
Yesterday, Kris dressed her (clearly favorite) grandkid Penelope in a lemon-printed look that perfectly matched her own. Kourtney posted the picture with the caption, "This is what happens when I leave town," referring to her latest trip to London.
Checking in with the photo's two subjects, this is how Kris feels about the pair's mommy-and-me outfits:
And here are Penelope's thoughts on the matter:
That face really says it all.
Somehow it's doubtful Kris got these coordinating looks from a catalogue, like so many mothers did in the '90s. But a cursory Google search shores up plenty of mommy-and-me ensembles that are currently available everywhere from eBay to Lilly Pulitzer. It's apparently still very much a thing. The baby models recruited look much more thrilled about the whole situation, though. Like this one, for example:
eBay, $159
Killing it! Or this one:
Lilly Pulitzer "Cecile" tank dress, $48, and "Natasha" tank dress, $168
Really selling it!
These children might look back on their mommy-and-me looks and have Penelope's exact expression on their faces, but if we remember correctly, when you were a kid, there was nothing more fun than matching mom. Maybe Discovery Zone. Maybe. But only by a very close margin.
