People from around the country gathered in New Orleans this past weekend for this year's Essence Festival, an annual three-day celebration of African-American music, culture, and influence put on by Essence magazine.
There were big-time performers (Mariah Carey and Kendrick Lamar), prominent speakers — Oprah! — and festival-goer street style that could give New York a run for its money.
