Nearly 90,000 People Waiting in Virtual Lilly Pulitzer Line

As if Target x Lilly Pulitzer’s epic lines last year didn’t demonstrate how devoted Lilly Pulitzer shoppers are when it comes to getting a deal, today’s Lilly Pulitzer online sale really proves it. The brand only puts items on sale twice a year, and fans definitely do not mess around on sale days.

This was the message Racked received after logging on to the homepage of Lilly Pulizer this morning at around 10am:

Gotta love that incredibly vague estimated wait time.

Racked wasn’t the only one stuck in line behind 80,000 people. Would-be sale shoppers are venting their frustrations in the comments of Lilly Pulitzer’s Facebook page.

Heather Rae: "There are 94000 people ahead of me in line."

Christine Sprow: "Yay...only 82k people in line ahead of me."

Some shoppers who were able to get into the site complained of getting kicked off before they were able to pay for their purchases.

Kendal Koogler: "Got in line at 8:02 and I waited 1 hour in line and I finally got in only to find that the app stopped working and it just kept saying tap to retry and I did and it wouldn't respond so now I'm # 42279 in line and that is not even the number I was at when I got in the second time!!! Very disappointed Lilly Pulitzer!!!"

Therese Stiles: "I was on at 8 sharp, 8000 or so in front of me. It's now after 10 and still over 3000 in front of me! What gives, Lilly, when others had way more people in front of them and they are checked out!!! Not happy!!!"

Machelle Mullins summed it up succinctly: "Sad day in Lilly Lover land."

If you want to try to shop the site right now, things seem to be getting (relatively) better: a check of the homepage right now reveals that only 46,385 people are in the queue, which translates to a 42-minute wait time.
