As part of our new series on the best stores in the world, Susanne Kaufman, founder of her eponymous spa and organic skincare line, shares one of her favorite places to shop.

My favorite store is Murkudis in Berlin. To me, it is the perfect concept store. I love the fashion brands they carry, the incredible mix of shoes, clothes, and handbags, and the little treasures you can always find, like handmade vases or special books.

Seven years ago, Murkudis was in Mitte, a quartier in Berlin that is close to where I opened my first spa. The shop owner, Andreas Murkudis, and I became friends. I eventually moved the spa to the Stue Hotel near the Tiergarten Park, and he also moved his shop to this area. Murkudis starting carrying Susanne Kaufmann products a couple of years ago, which is another reason I visit them regularly now. The last time I was there, my husband bought a great jacket and I bought a beautiful hand-knit hat for my daughter. —Susanne Kaufman

Murkudis doesn’t sell online, but the shop’s Instagram feed is worth a follow (even if you’re not heading to Berlin anytime soon) for its artful presentation of the store’s inventory.
