Out of all winter gear, gloves have always felt the most trivial. Coats and boots are an obvious no-brainer, with scarves and hats following right behind them. But gloves? I only truly understand their worth on days when the temperature drops so low that I’m forced to confront the fact that maybe tucking my hands into the sleeves of my jacket doesn’t quite do the trick.

If you’re cut from the same mold, we’ve still got a good couple months of winter and cold weather left to right our wrongs. With tons of options (and even some on sale), there are no excuses, people!

From practical features like touch screen-friendly fabric to the season’s most popular extras (like fringe and zipper hardware), we’ve compiled some of the best pairs available right now, hands down.
