The female celebrities in attendance at the 2017 SAG Awards clearly spent the weekend partaking in lip scrubs and indulging in lip balm, at least if the statement lipstick on display was any indication. Colors ranged from bright poppy to moody goth, the trend of the evening. And while $20+ lipsticks (hi there, Tom Ford) were well represented, several of them were from drugstore staple brands. Here’s how you can buy them.
Evan Rachel Wood
This deep brick red is courtesy of makeup artist Toby Fleischman, who only used a lip liner to achieve the look. It’s IT Cosmetics’ Your Lips But Better Waterproof Lip Liner in Perfect Red ($20).
Janelle Monae
Janelle Monae has been killing it with hair adornments on red carpets lately, but her makeup is no slouch either. For the SAGs, makeup artist Jessica Smalls used Covergirl’s Outlast All Day Color & Gloss in Vivid Violet ($10.49).
Maisie Williams
I loved everything about Maisie Williams’ look tonight, but her lipstick was the icing on the old Hollywood cake. Makeup artist Kindra Mann used Lorac PRO Liquid Lipstick in Black Cherry ($19) and Lorac Alter Ego Lip Liner in Dominatrix ($17).
Yara Shahidi
Yara Shahidi’s dress was fun, and so was her cheery pink lip. Tasha Reiko Brown used Burt’s Bees Gloss Crayon in Bordeaux Vines ($8.09) and Burt's Bees Lipstick in Doused Rose ($8.99).
Chrissy Teigen
Makeup artist Mary Phillips used two different brands on Chrissy Teigen’s lips. She started with Tom Ford’s Lip Contour Duo in Devil Inside ($53) and then applied MAC’s Lady Danger ($17) with a lip brush.
