Have you ever been shopping for a new work bag and thought “You know, all these plain canvas tote are nice and all, but what I really want is a bag that’s affordable, large enough to fit my laptop, and also features a screen print of Margot Robbie as Tonya Harding in the upcoming biopic/comedy I, Tonya?
Well, have I got news for you! Tipped off by a tweet from writer Alex Bedder, Team Racked recently discovered the custom clothing app Yoshirt, which allows you to screen print the image of your choice onto a T-shirt ($35) or tote bag ($24) — all on your smartphone.
The actual customization part is almost too easy, and takes about ten seconds tops. You just pick a photo from your phone’s camera roll, position it, maybe add a few stickers if you’re feeling fancy, and click “add to cart.” Much harder, of course, is picking the image/meme you’d want immortalized on a canvas carryall for all time. Stumped as to where to begin? I polled a few of my Racked coworkers with the hope that their choices might inspire your own:
“Sad Ben Affleck at Disney, because I worry about him.” —Meredith Haggerty, senior editor
“I once ordered a tank top on CafePress with this, my most favorite meme, printed on it, and now I don't know where that tank is, and anyway a tote would be better because I could carry it around with me all the time.” —Alanna Okun, senior editor
“There is a scene in the premiere of Season 3 of The Office in which Roy, possibly the most underrated character in the entire series, details his post-Pam breakup DUI arrest. The camera then cuts to his mugshot. It is an image I still think about every day, and it is the image that I drop into my group chat at random. It gets a laugh 100 percent of the time.” —Rebecca Jennings, associate producer
“Punch up your day with this tote of a Nazi taking a fist to the face!” —Cam Wolf, menswear editor
As you can see, the only limit is your imagination! Now if you’ll excuse me, I’ve got a large order of custom bags printed with that mom who dressed up as her dog to place.
