I’m a staunch supporter of real socks — none of this no-show sock scammer business — which is why I’m always looking for a good pair to wear with flats and ankle boots. Ankle boots can be tough, because they need to be just the right length: long enough to not slip off your foot, but short enough to not cause any extra bunching around the ankle, particularly for boots that are tight.
A friend gifted me a pair of socks from & Other Stories that are this exact ideal length, and now I’m hooked. The cut is similar to Happy Socks, which I also love, but the colors and patterns on the & Other Stories pairs are a little more in line with my style (there are a lot of pretty pale blues, creams, and neutrals).
They’re a little pricey, but my favorite style is the Ribbed Silk Sock ($17); the Shiny Rib Socks ($12) are cheaper, and a bit more fun.
