Yes, that is a brown velvet tuxedo on Golden Globe winner Donald Glover. And it’s spectacular.
Glover, who won two Globes on Sunday — Best Series and Best Performance, both for Atlanta — put any man who thought wearing black and navy together was bold to shame by wearing a custom Gucci suit in what the brand calls “tobacco.” He paired the tux with a burgundy satin bowtie and pulled the whole thing off with aplomb.

You can’t buy the Gucci until you get your own hit show and Alessandro Michele whips one up just for you, but would you believe another brand actually made a brown velvet tuxedo jacket this season? Burberry’s has black lapels, but it’s yours if you have an extra $1,550.
Unfortunately, there’s nothing you can buy to guarantee you wear it as well as Glover.
