What to Buy at Uniqlo Right Now

Now that fall is finally here, let’s get some Heattech.

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Uniqlo is known for its easy basics, constant good deals, and, of course, its Heattech under-layers and outerwear, which basically makes the brand a no-brainer for fall and winter shopping. Name a cold-weather essential (sweaters, coats, jackets, warm socks and leggings, the list goes on), and there’s a good chance you’ll find it here without having to drop too much money.

On the tops front, you’ll find everything from turtleneck sweaters and extra-fine (machine-washable!) merino wool to long-sleeved flannels and oxford shirts for less than $40. There are also plenty of long- and short-sleeved T-shirts perfect for layering for around $20, and cashmere for less than $100.

For outerwear, there are some great deals and new products out right now — like the uber-popular Ultra-Light Down Parka, which is currently $59.90 (was $79.90) — that are worth the browse. If you’re not into the puffy stuff, there are a bunch of structured coats, trenches, bombers, and fleece options to shop.

We’ve pulled over a dozen of our favorite items out at the moment, from coats to dresses, that’ll surely get you through the next six months and then some.
