At last night’s Tesla event, the company’s billionaire CEO, Elon Musk, unveiled two new electric cars: the Tesla Semi truck, which can drive 500 miles without a charge, and the Tesla Roadster, which can accelerate from zero to 60 in 1.9 seconds. Impressive stats, to be sure — but both state-of-the-art automobiles were outshone by Musk’s olive green jacket. We were first tipped off to this by our colleagues at The Verge, in particular noted Musk jacket enthusiast (and Verge executive editor) Dieter Bohn:
I am more interested in Elon's jacket than his trucks.

Yo @elonmusk where can I get me a sweet jacket like the one you had tonight?

I, too, am interested in Elon Musk’s olive jacket. https://t.co/gK2u1VmAGN

While the designer of Musk’s four-pocketed outerwear has yet to come forward, Oculus’s Lisa Brewster (who also happens to be Dieter’s wife) pointed out that the jacket is strikingly similar to two different Tom Ford designs, both of which will set you back not quite as much as the new Roadster, but close.
Seeing as Musk is a fan of Ford’s and has worn his clothes before, this seems like a solid guess. We’ve reached out to Tom Ford for verification — and if you’ve got any guesses of your own, let’s hear them!

Musk’s jacket is not Tom Ford, according to the brand’s PR team. The search continues!
