This week, two royals made headlines while clad in winter-white outerwear: soon-to-be-Duchess (and erstwhile Suits star) Meghan Markle, whose engagement to Prince Harry was all anyone could talk about on Monday, and Beyoncé “Queen Bey” Knowles, who needs no introduction.
Markle posed for photos with her fiancé in a cream-colored wrap coat from the Toronto-based brand Line, and while the $750 jacket sold out almost instantly, the brand promised it will be restocked in the future. (It was also quickly renamed the “Meghan” in her honor.)
Beyoncé, meanwhile, posted a “Thiccsgiving” triptych last weekend featuring a similar belted coat by Burberry. If you’re in the mood for a splurge, you can pick up her exact coat for $1,350 (that’s half-off, if that’s any extra incentive) — but if you’re not exactly blessed with a Bey-sized budget, fear not. There are plenty of similar snowy styles on the market right now, and judging by these two regal style stars, you’ll want to own one before the real winter chill sets in.
ASOS Coat With Batwing Sleeve, $134.22; Halston Heritage Wrap Coat, $895; Burberry Asymmetric Coat, $1,350.
