Lash primer seems like an unnecessary step to add to a makeup routine, one I probably wouldn’t have even discovered if I weren’t a beauty editor that’s sent products to test. But after I was introduced to the most perfect one, this step became an essential part of my everyday regimen. Even my most basic makeup days — foundation, brows, and mascara — includes lash primer.
I want to be clear. I’m not saying that mascaras don’t do their job to create beautiful lashes. There are plenty of amazing mascara formulas out there that deliver long, voluptuous results all on their own. But just imagine if your favorite lengthening mascara could give your eyelashes even more length, or your favorite volumizing formula could give them even more volume. That’s what a lash primer does.
But not just any old primer can do this, or, I should say, do it well. It’s Dior Diorshow Maximizer 3D Triple Volume Plumping Lash Primer that truly does it the best.
It coats each lash to make them thicker while also lengthening at the ends. And since it’s so lightweight, it doesn’t create buildup, and lashes can easily curl upward without feeling or looking weighed down. In fact, my lashes have been so long and curled up so much after using this primer that my freshly-applied mascara has bumped and marked my eyebrow bone — an inconvenience I’ll happily take if it means my real lashes end up looking so good they’re mistaken for being fake.
