Amazon Prime Day is technically longer than one day. On Monday at 9 p.m. EST, the e-comm giant kicked off 30 hours of special sales for Prime members, spanning categories like clothing, shoes, accessories, beauty, home, tech, and more. The question we’ve been getting for the past week is, of course: Is it worth it?
The TL;DR is that there will be significant markdowns on things you probably are planning to buy at some point anyway, especially in the beauty department. (That is to say, today would be a good day to re-up on shampoo).
To help you sift through the thousands of deals, we’re rounding up the best clothing and beauty discounts here as they hit Amazon (many of them are launching tonight, but others won’t be live until the early morning). Check them out below, and keep coming back for the most up-to-date info.
Beauty
Prime members can now take up to 40% off select beauty products, which is a larger selection than what was offered up yesterday on sales leading up to Prime Day.
The current beauty deals span from the things you probably need but aren’t necessarily going out of your way to buy — think body lotions, haircare, and shaving products — to skincare and makeup from some bigger brands. Here’s a list of products worth adding to your cart, handpicked by our editors.

Clothing
There are three clothing deals going on right now. The steepest is a deal on denim, with dozens of jeans on sale for up to 60% off. The sale includes a lot of Levi’s for really cheap (like pairs for around 20 bucks). Beyond Levi’s, you can also shop denim from Joe’s Jeans, Hudson, DL 1961, Parker Smith, Lucky, and more.
Amazon’s own in-house brands are marked down 40% to 50% off. (If you’re interested in taking a look, we suggest starting with Mae for casual clothing and underwear, and Coastal Blue for swim).
Right now, additional brands — like Calvin Klein, Keds, Dansko, Birkenstock, Adidas, and plenty more — are also marked down, but only up to 30% off. Our suggestion: Cut through the noise and sort by brand, which you can do here.
