In mid-July, when pretty much everything is on sale, it takes a lot for us to get excited about a discount. But Nordstrom’s Anniversary Sale — which has been running annually since the 1960s, when the retailer merged with a company called Best Apparel and started selling clothing for the first time — definitely makes the cut.

Hundreds of new-season items, including beauty products, boots, athletic gear, and jeans, will be significantly marked down; it’s a great opportunity to grab anything you’ve been needing, or know you’ll need come fall — which (sorry!!) is just a month and a half away.
