It’s that time in summer when you either feel like the season is already over or are desperate to hold on to what’s left of it. (Actual conversation I overheard my coworkers having this morning: “I’m already making plans for September... I still consider September summer though.” “What? No. Summer is over on July 4th.”)

For my part, I just made it to the beach for the first time this past Sunday, and now I’m determined to at least put on a bathing suit every weekend until Labor Day, even if I only make it out to the ocean a few more times.

While I wish I had gotten to it sooner, the nice thing about my mid-summer resolution is that a ton of the bathing suits I’d ordinarily consider way too pricey are now on sale, and we’ve all still got plenty of time to put them to good use.

Check out my favorite picks below; they span all the trends, from high-waisted bottoms to simple one-pieces. (And note: I included one suit per brand, but a lot of these retailers — like Mara Hoffman, Made by Dawn, and old swimwear standby J.Crew — have a bunch of great suits on sale right now, so poke around.)
