Gone are the days of having to sit by your computer ahead of a #rare Pat McGrath Labs drop only to walk away empty-handed because it sold out in seconds. The iconic makeup artist announced yesterday evening via Instagram — and to a bunch of New York City beauty editors IRL — that after two years and seven limited-edition beauty collections, she’s finally coming out with a permanent collection of makeup.
Starting in September, Pat McGrath Labs will release 61 new products that you can buy all year round as part of its core line, cheekily titled the Unlimited Edition. You’ll be able to shop lip products first, starting September 16th (or even sooner, if you subscribe to Pat McGrath’s emails) with 12 lip pencils ($25) and 40 (!!!) lipsticks at $38 a pop. Nine of the latter will be the MatteTrance shades we fell in love with earlier this summer. The other 31 will be called the LuxeTrance lipsticks; according to McGrath, the creamy formulation just requires a “quick, single swipe on” for perfect, even color.

The next phase of the collection release, the Mothership Eye Palette ($125), might be the most exciting — and the most likely to sell out in its first round, if we’re being real. There will be three versions of the palette: Subliminal, Sublime, and Subversive, each offering ten different heavily pigmented shades, including shadows based on the formulas featured in Gold 001 and Dark Star 006.
McGrath notes that the colors of each palette have become indispensable to her kit over the years, from her signature “neutrals” that you’ll find in the Subliminal palette to the luminous tones in the Sublime palette that she’s used in a handful of iconic Versace campaigns. You’ll be able to get your hands on all palettes on September 28th, along with five eye pencils and a mascara, on patmcgrath.com.

"I am unlocking the history of my 25-year career and exploring the artistry and alchemy that has defined my work and revolutionized the runway, red carpet, and editorial for decades," explains McGrath in a press release. "With this new iteration of Pat McGrath Labs, I am sharing my secrets."
The complete Pat McGrath Labs Unlimted Edition will be available on Sephora.com on October 6th.
