After Coach announced last December that Selena Gomez — singer, actress, and world’s most-followed person on Instagram — had signed a multimillion-dollar deal with the brand that’d span campaigns and a “special design project,” the singer’s fans seemed particularly interested in the latter component of Gomez’s contract. What would a purse designed by the pop star look like, anyway?
Today, Coach finally shared photos of the handbag Gomez co-designed with the brand’s creative director, Stuart Vevers: a $395 tote dubbed the “Selena Grace,” set to hit stores on September 1st along with the rest of the Selena Gomez x Coach collection. And to say that it reflects her personal style would be an understatement; the singer truly loves top-handled totes like a love song.
Here’s the bag in “Selena Black Cherry” (it’ll also be available in “Selena Red” and “Selena White”):

And here’s Gomez out and about earlier this year carrying Coach’s similarly-shaped Rogue Bag and Swagger Bag, respectively:

“It was about exploring the qualities Selena wanted in a bag and creating something that felt personal to her,” Vevers says of the design process. No kidding; what with Gomez’s penchant for totes, it’s no surprise she’d show her same old love for the shape here.
The Selena Grace bag also comes with a hangtag with Gomez’s signature. It’s embossed with “Love yourself first” in the star’s own handwriting (a nod to one of her tattoos), and there’s a patch inside that reads, “To be you is to be strong.” Gomez’s collection also includes smaller accessories like bag charms ($50) and mini zippered ID cases ($55), should you want to further trick out your tote (and if you say you don’t, you’re such a bad liar).

I know what you’re about to ask — and yes, there are also wristlets ($150). Hey, if anyone can help me out on my personal quest to bring back the wristlet, it’s probably Selena Gomez.
