These days it’s surprisingly hard to find a basic T-shirt that doesn’t have a sassy text slogan on it. So when you find a solid tee that works for you, it really makes sense to buy more than one. To that end, I’ve scoured the internet to find some of the highest-rated, most-loved tees that will work in any season, in every price range. There are both crew neck and v-neck options included, but no boob pockets here, folks.

Most of these price points are pretty reasonable, with the majority ringing in for under $30. There are a couple of higher-end options thrown in for those of you with bigger budgets, or just a weakness for really nice T-shirts (though I left out some favorite T-shirts over $65, since you probably won’t be stocking up on $70-plus Velvet, Lacausa, and Current/Elliott tees).

If you balk at the idea of spending more than $20 on a tee — and you’re not alone — check out our guide to how you can tell if a fancy T-shirt is worth the money. Either way, whether you’re looking for tees you won’t mind spilling taco fillings all over or some special items you hope to keep for years, here are some options. You can think of this list as a guide to the brands making the best T-shirts under $65, because almost all of these labels have several options in different cuts and colors.
