Sephora has added a handful of key brands to its lineup this summer, including cult-favorite skincare brand Kiehl's just last week, and it looks like the beauty giant has no plans of stopping anytime soon. This morning, Sephora announced that ColourPop Cosmetics, a (previously) online-only beauty brand beloved by teens and YouTubers alike, will be thrown into the mix this fall.
After launching in 2014, the young brand seems to have won over the entire beautysphere with its colorful — and, maybe more importantly, affordable — lipsticks, highlighters, and eyeshadows. The announcement is obviously a big deal for ColourPop's existing fans, but it’s potentially a bigger deal for anyone who’s ever wanted to try the brand but didn't feel comfortable choosing shades without being able to test them out in person.
If you fall in to the latter group, you'll probably be excited to get your hands on ColourPop's best-selling products, like the wear-all-day Ultra Matte Lip ($6, and fingers crossed that at least half of the 57 shades will be available in store) and the super-pigmented Gimme More! Highlighter Palette ($18) that works on just about everyone.
While information on which specific products will be available at Sephora stores has not yet been released, we do know that ColourPop will be launching exclusive products just for Sephora shoppers, the pace for new launches won't slow down, and those uber-affordable prices won't increase: Whatever pricing you see on ColourPop.com right now is exactly what you'll find on the shelves at Sephora.
"We want to evolve the model of how brands and retailers work together," says Laura Nelson, co-founder and president of ColourPop's parent company, Seed Beauty, in a press release from the brand. "How the two entities partner to explore initiatives and programs, bring speed and flexibility to the platform, and provide the consumer an experience, value, and product that is unrivaled."
Mark your calendars for November 2017, when product hits Sephora stores (just in time for the holidays), and stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
