Twice a year, Ulta has its “21 Days of Beauty” sale, which, as the name suggests, runs for three full weeks. On each of those days, the beauty retailer offers two to four products or services at a deep discount. The items stay on sale just for that one day, and then there are new offers the next day. The sale runs from Sunday, September 3rd through Saturday, September 23rd.
This year, almost everything included in the sale is 50% off. In addition to the name brands that are on sale, Ulta is also offering select items from its already inexpensive Ulta Collection at a discount as well. (You can see all of the sale items here.)
Some are online-only deals and some are marked “Platinum Perk,” meaning you have to be a Platinum Ultamate Rewards member to get the discount. Finally, you’re limited to only buying two of each sale item.
Since there’s a lot to pick through and you sort of have to make a snap judgment or else miss out, here’s an assortment of what we think are the most exciting deals of the month, along with what day they’re available.
Murad Youth Renewal Serum ($44, originally $88; available Sep. 3rd): This cream has retinol in different forms, which helps increase the chance that it gets into your skin to do what it’s supposed to do. Dermatologists usually recommend that you stay out of the sun/use sunscreen while on retinoids, so fall is the perfect time to start (or re-start) one.
Skyn Iceland Travel Size Hydro Cool Firming Eye Gels ($7.50, originally $15; available Sep. 6th): These under-eye gels are a cult favorite and a must-have for those days when you could use a little waking up.
Urban Decay Naked Flushed Palette ($17, originally $34; available Sep. 8th): This palette provides a blush, highlighter, and bronzer all in one place for gentle contouring or just a wash of color.
Benefit Roller Lash Mascara ($12, originally $24; available Sep. 9th): While not yet as popular as Benefit’s They’re Real mascara, this one is making a name for itself because of its curling capability.
Tarte Lights, Camera, Lashes Liquid Eyeliner ($10, originally $20; available Sep. 10th): If you are a liquid eyeliner person, you can’t beat the price here.
Dermaflash Facial Exfoliating Device ($94.50, originally $189; available Sep. 12th): This device is an electronic dermaplaner, meaning it basically removes peach fuzz from your face and provides gentle exfoliation.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Powder Duos ($11.50, originally $23; available Sep. 15th): Anastasia is the queen of brow products, and this one is a non-gimmicky basic.
IT Cosmetics Celebration Foundation ($17.50, originally $35; available Sep. 16th): This powder foundation contains anti-aging ingredients and claims to never crease or settle into fine lines.
BECCA Under Eye Brightening Corrector ($15, originally $30; available Sep. 17th): Becca’s expertise is in lighting your face in all the right places, and this under-eye concealer covers up dark circles completely.
MAC Lipstick in Velvet Teddy and Russian Red only ($8.75, originally $17.50; available Sep. 20th): MAC lipstick in good colors, half-off!
Mario Badescu Vitamin C Serum ($22.50, originally $45; available Sep. 23rd): Vitamin C is beauty’s favorite ingredient lately thanks to its antioxidant and brightening properties, and this is a great price if you’ve been looking to try one.
