Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.
If you weren’t able to get your hands on those cute oversized glasses from Warby Parker’s collaboration with Amanda de Cadenet (mom, writer, photographer, director — the list goes on) before they sold out earlier this year, you’ve been granted another shot. The OG direct-to-consumer eyewear brand is bringing the frames back to celebrate the launch of Amanda’s new book, It’s Messy: On Boys, Boobs, and Badass Women.
Both original frames, the Silvan and the Ella (named after de Cadenet’s twins!) will be available in stores and online starting today for $95. They’re big, quirky, and fun — perfect whether you’re a kid or just still feel like one.

As part of the collaboration, Warby Parker will be making a donation to girlgaze — de Cadenet’s organization dedicated to giving young female-identifying photographers the tools, guidance, and support they need to break into the male-dominated industry — to help establish grants.
Shop the collection in Warby Parker stores, showrooms, and online at WarbyParker.com/amanda-de-cadenet before they sell out (again!), and learn more about girlgaze here.
