Street style photography makes it easy to chase certain fashion stars around the globe as they hop from Fashion Week to Fashion Week, each outfit trackable via various websites and Instagram feeds. We know what they're wearing now, but what are they investing in for fall? We polled the coolest girls we know — stylist Rachael Wang, fashion consultant Shiona Turini, market director Preetma Singh, and stylist Martha Violante — on their shopping wish lists.
"Alessandro Michele is killing it right now. I'll be the first to jump on the Gucci beret bandwagon as soon as the weather cools down."
"I've wanted these patched jeans from the moment I laid eyes on them while sitting across from Kanye at the Vêtements show in a basement-level gay bar in Paris."
"I'm obsessed with this Proenza tweed top, which feels like winter's updated version of my wardrobe staple, the crop top. The cutouts and the shoulder design make it sexy, but the fabric keeps it appropriate for fall."
"These Valentino boots with toughened-up florals will look great with everything from denim to minidresses."
"I love the Christophe Lemaire for Uniqlo collection because everything looks really comfortable. I'll buy this sweater somewhat oversized and wear it with long shorts."
"I've been eyeing these Comme des Garçons shorts for a while. They have cutouts in the back and buckles. The more confusing the garment, the more I like it."
"I love how dorky and feminine this Miu Miu shirt is. It reminds me a bit of Anne of Green Gables, which I still love as much as I did as a kid."
"Keeping with the slightly prairie theme, I am in lust with these moccasins from Saint Laurent. They're a nice upgrade for someone who still loves her Minnetonkas."
