My love affair with fashion actually began in front of the TV, watching Soul Train on Saturday mornings. The "hippest trip in America" was not only a place to learn the latest dance moves, but also to take in how the young women and men expressed their own personal style through clothing and accessory combos you’d never find hanging on a mannequin at the local department store. They made fashion fun and showed me how you can own a room—or a dance floor—with the right look.
