Venice-based Sophie Monet fell into jewelry design in 2009 while hanging at her sculptor dad's studio. "It was one of those ah-ha moments when I realized I could combine my dream of working in fashion and knowledge of art to create something really unique, using materials I had right in front of me."

Her first design was a ring made from a single piece of wood with the help of her dad's drill press. Monet's work quickly started to receive buzz, which led to a major collaboration with retail giant Anthropologie.
