Jewelry: Sophie Monet

Venice-based Sophie Monet fell into jewelry design in 2009 while hanging at her sculptor dad's studio. "It was one of those ah-ha moments when I realized I could combine my dream of working in fashion and knowledge of art to create something really unique, using materials I had right in front of me."

Her first design was a ring made from a single piece of wood with the help of her dad's drill press. Monet's work quickly started to receive buzz, which led to a major collaboration with retail giant Anthropologie. Loyal clients love her Orbit bracelets, made from light maple wood and braided white leather, as well as pieces like the Siren choker, which perfectly demonstrates Monet’s knack for blending bold elements with refined shapes.
