Paris Fashion Week’s Best Beauty Looks Were All Drama

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Beauty at Paris Fashion Week was the best of both worlds. It embraced the ever-appealing lazy-girl aesthetic — see Rick Owens’ gravity-defying hair balls, Valentino’s slicked-down baby hair, and Dries van Noten’s drippy eyeliner. On the other hand, aspirational beauty was there too, like Anthony Vaccarello’s jeweled cat eyes and the vampy dark lips at Dior.

Though the makeup in Paris wasn't as bright and playful as it was in Milan, its quiet intensity was just as beautiful. Click through this gallery to see some of our Paris favorites.
