Rita Ora Celebrates Absence from Controversy with Rainbow Hair Ribbons

Racked is no longer publishing. Thank you to everyone who read our work over the years. The archives will remain available here; for new stories, head over to Vox.com, where our staff is covering consumer culture for The Goods by Vox. You can also see what we’re up to by signing up here.

Fact: Four-fifths of all celebrities are currently involved in the KardashoWest-Swiftian war of our time in some capacity, from Selena to Demi to Chloë to Khloé to Chloes of other spellings too, probably. Notably absent from this list, however, is one Rita Ora.

Rita Ora, who is famous less for being a pop singer and more for being Rita Ora, has built a reputation feuding with celebrities more famous than herself (e.g. Beyoncé, Calvin Harris, Azealia Banks, Rihanna). So it comes as a surprise that this time around, she has 100% absolutely nothing to do with, nor say anything about, any of it.

While the drama unfolded last night, Ora was busy sticking to her usual social media habits: re-posting paparazzi photos of herself, sprinkled with a few good ol’ fashioned #ads.

In honor of such a rare and special occasion, Ora opted for her happiest accessories: while out in NYC last night, she wore rather cheerful rainbow hair ribbons, plus ‘70s dad glasses and a utilitarian jumpsuit.

A good look for all of life's happy moments, tbh! Create your own "I have absolutely zero stake in this contentious celebrity feud" outfit with some ribbons from Michael's, drugstore reading glasses, and an old jumpsuit from your local Army Navy surplus storeCongrats, Rita! You deserve this!
