There's a reason why simply adding a pair of sunglasses to an otherwise boring outfit makes you feel way, way more put-together than it should. It all goes back to 12th century China when the first sunglasses were used, spreading from there to elderly folks in need of visual aids, to syphilis sufferers (yeah), 1920's movie stars, World War II fighter pilots, and beyond.
